According to a report by 9to5Mac, Kuo has suggested that the iPhone 14 series could feature a 48MP camera. Not only will it be the largest sensor that Apple will put in an iPhone, but the camera bump on the back of the device will also be enhanced. Giving information on Twitter, Kuo said that the size of the camera bump will increase. The main reason for the big camera bump of the iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max will be its upgrade to the 48MP camera. The 48MP CIS will increase the diagonal length by 25-35% and the 48MP 7P lens will increase the height by 5-10%. Kuo’s tweet also suggests that the 48MP lens may come in the iPhone 14 Pro series and not the vanilla iPhone 14 series.
There is still a lot of time for the launch of the iPhone 14 series. However, before that Apple will host WWDC. A tipster has suggested that WWDC 2022 may start on June 6. Tipster John Prosser has claimed that WWDC 2022 could be Apple’s first in-person event after two years. However, Apple has not said anything about the launch date or whether it will be a virtual or in-person event.
