The month of August is very important for the launch of 5G in India. We are saying this because Jio and Airtel have announced the launch of 5G this month. 5G spectrum has also been auctioned, in which Jio has the maximum 5G spectrum. Reliance Jio has bought a total of 24,740Mhz spectrum which includes spectrum in 700Mhz, 800Mhz, 1800Mhz, 3300Mhz and 26Ghz bands. Whereas Bharti Airtel has bought 19867Mhz spectrum and Vodafone-Idea has bought 6228Mhz spectrum. Now the question is, whose 5G plan will be cheaper. Let us know what Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea have to say about the price of 5G plans?
What did the Union Information Technology Minister say?
Union Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said on 5G that the price of 5G services in the country will be low. Common man will also be able to use 5G easily. He said that the government will complete all the work related to the allocation of 5G spectrum by August 12, after which 5G services can be started in the country by October.
Let us tell you that till now no company has given any final information about the price of 5G plan. Akash Ambani, chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, has said, “We will celebrate the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with a pan-India 5G rollout. Jio is committed to providing world-class, affordable 5G services. Solutions that drive India’s digital revolution forward.” This is our next proud contribution in realizing the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Digital India mission.” In such a situation, we can expect that Jio’s plans will be cheap. Anyway, currently Jio’s 4G prepaid plans are cheaper than other companies.
Airtel has also said that it will also launch 5G commercially this month. Airtel has also partnered with Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung to launch 5G in the country. Airtel has not said anything about the price of the plan, but telecom industry experts say that the company’s plans will not be like 4G. The price of 5G plan can be 15 percent more than 4G.

Takkar says that the company has to spend a huge amount in the purchase of 5G spectrum. In such a situation, it has become clear that 5G plans of Vodafone Idea are not going to be cheap.
