Motorola has announced the launch date for Moto Razr 2022 and Moto Edge X30 Pro. Which was earlier scheduled to take place on August 2, but was canceled due to rising tensions between China and Taiwan over the visit of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi. However, contrary to reports, the launch event was not canceled but postponed. The new launch event will now take place on August 11, Lenovo’s general manager has confirmed.
Changes in foldable smartphones
Chen Jin has shared a new teaser of Moto Razr 2022 which mentions a new launch date of August 11. The teaser suggests that the phone will be launched on August 11 at 2 pm. The Moto Edge X30 Pro will also be launched alongside the Moto Razr 2022. Sales of both the smartphones are expected to start soon after the event is over.
It is worth noting that Motorola had earlier launched two foldable phones in the year 2020 as well as in 2021. Razor 2021 was an improved version of the previously launched device. However, no major changes were seen in both the foldable smartphones. But this will not happen with Razer 2022. You can expect some major design overhauls in the upcoming Razr 2022. Along with the powerful interiors of the smartphone, the dual screen is also expected to come with a host of functionalities.
Well-known tipster Mukul Sharma has posted complete specifications of Razor 2022 on Twitter. According to him, the Moto Razr 2022 will have two displays, the primary display is expected to be a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, while the secondary display will have a 2.65-inch OLED display of 800 x 573 pixels.
The foldable smartphone is expected to draw its power from Qualcomm’s flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Sharma revealed that the Moto Razr 2022 will come with three RAM variants, including 8GB, 12GB as well as 18GB of RAM. If his prediction comes true, then the Motorola phone will be the first phone with 18GB of RAM. Along with different RAM variants, Motorola is also expected to roll out different storage variants including 128GB, 256GB as well as 512GB.

The Razer 2022 is expected to feature a dual-cell battery which includes a 600mAh battery as well as a 2660mAh battery. According to Mukul Sharma’s report, the weight of Razor 2022 is only 200 grams. In terms of cameras, the foldable phone is expected to pack a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 32-megapixel primary camera on the front.
