Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is set to launch in China on August 11, Xiaomi on Wednesday confirmed the arrival of the new Redmi K50 series smartphone via Weibo. Several posters have also been shared on the Chinese microblogging platform, revealing the design and specifications of the smartphone. Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup with a 120Hz refresh rate display and a 108-megapixel primary sensor. Holanpunch display design will be given in Redmi K50 Extreme Edition.
Smartphone spotted in silver trace shade
The new Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will be launched on August 11. According to a teaser poster shared by Xiaomi on Weibo, the launch event will take place at 7 PM local time (4 PM IST) in China. The smartphone has been seen in a silver trace shade. This smartphone will get 120Hz refresh rate display. The display also has a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is said to offer Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will have an OLED display. It will get a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Apart from the 108-megapixel main camera in the phone, the triple rear camera setup can have an 8-megapixel sensor and another 2-megapixel sensor. A 20-megapixel front camera can be found in the phone for selfie and video calls. Connectivity options on the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition include Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6E.
The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will come as an upgraded edition of the company’s flagship K50 series. Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 were launched in China in March. The first is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, while the second is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. Both the models have liquid cooling technology with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision 2K resolution display.
