The latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android has code that allows you to create avatars, similar to Facebook and Messenger. The company is also said to be planning to allow users to wear their own face masks during video calls. However, WhatsApp’s proprietary company Meta has not yet told about any details related to the avatar section.
‘Avatars’ was first spotted with WhatsApp beta version 2.22.15.5 for Android. The report suggests that users may be allowed to change themselves with these avatars during video calls. WhatsApp has not announced this feature yet. It is said that it is in the development phase.
An alleged screenshot of the avatar section has also been shared. This gives information about the possible avatars that users will be able to create. The option of ‘Create your avatar’ appears at the bottom of the image. It is being said that the avatars for this platform have been taken from Facebook.
According to a recent report, WhatsApp is also working on introducing quick reactions for status updates on the Android app. This feature was reportedly seen with WhatsApp beta version 2.22.16.10 for Android. According to the report, the company is also working on releasing an updated gallery view for the beta version of the Windows desktop WhatsApp app.
