The 15-inch MacBook Air may get an upgrade in terms of its design and capability after the 2020 model launch. The current 13-inch MacBook Air uses a mildly updated design from 2018 but with the new M1 chip. According to the leaks, the Air could sport a MacBook Pro-inspired design with flat edges, new colors and a notched display.
According to multiple leaks, Apple may continue to use the M1 chip for the next MacBook Air refresh in 2022. However, according to other leaks, the new Air may use the M1 chip with minor improvements. At WWDC 2022, it can be seen that Apple can make many big announcements.
The M1 chip, for now, is Apple’s favorite chip being widely used in its Mac and iPad range. Earlier this month on March 8, Apple announced the new iPad Air Gen 5 running on the M1 chip, which supports 5G connectivity and bucketloads of performance. Apple has also introduced the M1 Ultra chip for its Mac Studio.
