With this new update, users can now find out the estimated toll price to reach their destination even before starting the journey. Android will be rolling out this month for around 2,000 toll roads in India, the US, Japan and Indonesia, the company said. And toll prices will start showing up on iOS. The company further said, “The cost of using the Google Maps Toll Pass or other payment methods, the total toll cost to get you to the destination, based on factors such as the day of the week and the user expects the toll cost at a specific time. “A simple tap on the three dots in the top right corner of Directions in Google Maps will allow users to select route options and ‘avoid toll’ if they want to avoid toll routes entirely,” the company said. Apart from this, Google has also rolled out new updates to make it easier for iOS users to use Google Maps on Apple Watch or iPhone.

New updates include a new pinned trip widget, direct navigation from the Apple Watch, and Google Maps integration into the Siri and Shortcuts apps. The new Pinned Trips widget will help people access the trips they have pinned in their Go tab directly from the iOS home screen, making it even easier to get directions. In addition, Apple Watch users will soon be able to get directions to Google Maps directly from their Watch. Google Maps is also integrating directly into the iOS Spotlight, Siri, and Shortcuts apps.
