New Delhi. Meta-owned photo-sharing platform Instagram keeps on bringing new features to its users every now and then. This time too, Instagram has released many new features and has told that new video posts of less than 15 minutes will be shared as reel. The platform said that the feature will be rolled out to users in the coming weeks, adding that all old videos posted prior to this change will remain as videos and will not become reels. The company said in a blogpost that, ‘We want everyone to be able to express their creative ideas easily, so we are adding more features to this application. We are always working on ways to improve your Instagram experience. We will continue to build features that make it simpler and more fun to create and share reels on Instagram.’
Expanding tools for remix
The platform said it is also expanding tools for remixes to help enhance the way users tell and share stories on Instagram while collaborating with their favorite creators and friends. It has also been said from the company that in the coming few weeks, users will be able to remix public photos. It inspires users to create their own reels.

They can choose between green screen, vertical split-screen, horizontal or picture-in-picture reaction views to add their video commentary to the existing reels. “This currently applies to reels less than 90 seconds long,” the company said. In addition, the company states that if your account is private, your reels will still be shown only to your followers.
